Get five of your marks in a row before the other player does.
Take turns placing one mark. At the start you pick who goes first. After that, whoever loses a round goes first in the next.
- Tap an empty square to place your mark.
- Five or more in a row wins: across, down or diagonal.
- A row blocked at both ends doesn't count: if the other player has a mark at each end, keep going. The board's edge is not a block.
- Watch the other player's rows too. When they have three or four in a row, put a mark at the open end to block it.
- Need more room? On your turn, tap Bigger board to ask. Asking uses your turn. The other player taps Agree to a bigger board, or places a mark to say no.
- In the lobby, set Bigger board to Near the edge, and the board grows by itself whenever someone plays close to the edge.
- While the board can still grow, you can't play on the outermost ring. Grow the board first. It won't grow if that would let someone finish five right away.
